PAINTINGS

What medium do you use?

I use oils, traditional and also water-mixable oils sometimes for plein-air painting. Occasionally I do my underpainting in acrylics as they dry quickly.

Are all your paintings painted 'plein air'?

No, often I'm painting in the studio - it really depends on the weather! Often I will do small oil sketches  plein air, and then work from them in the studio to create bigger paintings. If it's a good day for painting outside, I might finish a bigger painting in situ.

Will framed paintings come ready to hang?

Yes, they will be ready to go, however I'm happy to sell them unframed if that's what you'd prefer.

Unfortunately, the painting I liked has sold!

Make sure you join my mailing list to find out about new work before it is added to the Shop. But, as I try not to bombard you with emails, you can also follow studio progress on Instagram @shelaghcasebourne

PRINTS

What are 'giclee' prints?

Giclee (pronounced 'zhee-clay') prints are high-quality digital prints. Mine are printed on archival quality, 100% cotton fibre, acid-free Somerset Velvet 225gsm paper - which is made in traditional paper moulds by St Cuthberts Mill in Cornwall.

Do your prints come framed?

No, they would be sent rolled, in a sturdy cardboard posting tube, and would need framing behind glass.

SHIPPING

Do the prices quoted on the website include postage and packing?

Yes, within the UK.

Do you ship overseas?

This is where it's worth getting in touch as shipping costs vary and I would need to find out the best method depending on the destination. All posted work is sent using a 'signed for' service.

GENERAL

What happens if I change my mind?

I want you to be completely happy with your purchase so I offer a buy-back agreement. If an original painting is not what you expected, you have 14 days to contact me by email and request a refund. Once a return has been agreed, you are responsible for packing and arranging return delivery using the same service used to send it to you. Once the piece has been safely returned I will refund your payment within 14 days (excluding return postage costs). .

How can I get in touch?

You can use the contact page on this site or send an email to shelagh@shelaghcasebourne.com

Do you undertake commissions?

Currently I'm not taking on any new commissions as I'm focusing on a new series of work.
